Gulfstream

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), designs, develops, manufactures, markets, services and supports the world's most technologically advanced business jet aircraft.

Since 1958, Gulfstream has produced more than 1,500 aircraft for customers around the world. To meet the diverse transportation needs of the future, Gulfstream offers a comprehensive fleet of aircraft, comprising the wide-cabin, high-speed Gulfstream G150; the large-cabin, mid-range Gulfstream G200; the large-cabin, mid-range Gulfstream G350; the large-cabin, long-range Gulfstream G450; the large-cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G500 and the large-cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G550.

Gulfstream's Enhanced Business System (EVS) and the PlaneView cockpit are proof positive of the company's determination to maintain its leadership position in the business jet aircraft industry.

First certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in September 2001, the Gulfstream EVS incorporates a specially designed Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) camera that projects an infrared real-world image on the pilot's Honeywell Head-Up Display (HUD). The system enables the flight crew to see runway markings, taxiways, adjacent roads and surrounding conditions.

The Gulfstream EVS has been recognized by several organizations, including the Federation Aeronautique Internationale and Flight Safety Foundation, for its significant contributions to enhancing aviation safety.

Gulfstream's flagship G550 features the most advanced flight deck in corporate aviation. The PlaneView cockpit is an integrated avionics suite featuring four large liquid crystal displays that improves the readability of terrain maps, navigational and weather information, and primary flight data and also helps reduce crew workload and enhance efficiency and pilot situational awareness to further improve safety of flight. The PlaneView cockpit includes Gulfstream's Signature Cursor Control Devices.

The same attributes which make Gulfstream an outstanding and world-leading business jet - including safety, range, altitude, reliability, cabin comfort and world-wide product support - also make Gulfstream an idea platform for head-of-state transportation and special mission roles. More than 150 Gulfstream aircraft are used in these roles around the world.

For calendar year 2003, the 100th anniversary year of powered flight, the U.S. National Aeronautical Association awarded the Gulfstream G550 team with the 2003 Robert J. Collier Trophy for "its leading edge achievement in designing, testing and building an innovate aircraft while incorporating measurable safety enhancements and far-reaching advances in aerospace technology." The G550's predecessor, the GV, had won the Collier Trophy in 1997.

The company employs some 7,900 people at seven major locations. For more
